rising Inflation & interest rates, depreciating real estate/stock market, what should I invest?
This is a good question. The interest rate is increasing and the inflation rate is increasing. The stock market is crushing. The rich estate market is very slow. So if you have money, if you have cash right now, what should you do? What can you do? What should you buy? This very tough question.
So the 1st thing you need to do is you need decrease your leverage. If you get too much loan, maybe you should get rid of some loan. You should remove some loan. And because that one will kill you as long as the interest rate is still increasing, and then probably that will be a big problem for you. So you need sell some assets, sell some practice, make sure and you don't have too much loan, you don't need to pay too much mortgage or interest.
That will be the number one. So after you have the cash, after you sell some properties or assets, and after you have some cash in your hands, what do you do? You need to buy? Before you make a decision, I want to suggest you to take care of two things. The 1st one is the inflation route. If the inflation rate is still going up, it means the price, almost everything, the price will be going up.
So that's the number one inflation rate. So another thing you need to take care of is depression. So after the inflation rate increasing and interest rate increasing, and after that, it will be depression. So there's a sample. And in 1980s, and the inflation rate is as high as 14.5% in USA, and the interest rate is around 20 %. Think about what the interest rate right now. The interest rate right now is only two something or three something, right?
